I had it all planned. I didn’t want to get married for the wedding dress or the walking down the aisle part. That part always frightened me I didn’t want everyone staring at me. I wanted the wedding part because a honeymoon meant getting onto a plane and seeing the world. Love and travel go hand in hand for me, and what better way to see the world than with the one you love. #Cheesy

Some time back my bestie cousin and I were invited by Canon to spend a day at the Maslow in Sandton for the launch of the release of two instant camera printers, the Canon Zoemini S and Canon Zoemini C.
I learned that I love taking pictures but that I need to work on my scrapbooking skills. A few ladies and their besties were invited for the day and then they made it into a competition. Let's just say that on the day everyone was a winner, but the Canon Zoemini was the REAL WINNER.
This past Friday my family and I were gifted tickets to Marvel Universe Live. Marvel and Disney feature strongly in our house and so the girls really were beyond excited for the show.
The show started at 8 pm and both my girls had been threatened with “no show” the whole week if they didn’t behave. With that said, they really didn’t know what to expect.
Since we went to the show, I have chatted to a few people this past weekend who were all interested to find out my honest review. I thought I would share it on here. That way I can give you all a heads up without giving away any spoilers, so you know what to expect.
[GIFTED] You may or may not be aware that I love going to the theatre, and my girls are following suit. This has been helped along nicely by the fact that we get to go to shows that are done impeccably well. Recently our family had the pleasure of being hosted at the opening of the new musical show “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr" by The People's Theatre. It was brilliant!
It's been five years since we first let it go, but did we really? My 8 year old experienced the Frozen craze enough to remember it. And yes, we too had the Frozen themed party. I'm ecstatic that now my 5-year-old can jump on the bandwagon, or should it be the sleigh, because Frozen 2 is here, almost, so let the madness begin!
Whether you love it or hate it, the Frozen phenomena is here to stay with the release of Frozen 2, complete with a brand new catchy soundtrack!
Yes, my family and I all have our favourites … we ourselves like to finish each other’s sandwiches too. Tell me, do you say Anna or Arna?
I spent two weeks in Umhlanga with my family last August and whilst we did manage to tick off a number of awesome things on our Durban Bucket-list, there is so much more I want to do on our next trip. This is a list of some of the best things to do in Durban with kids! I hope the snot-flickers and I manage to get to some of those we missed on our next visit. Take a look at our list, and please do let me know if we missed anything?
I have had toys from the Little Tikes brand before, so I am no stranger to the brand. However, with their 50th birthday celebration, I now realise why. The brand is still going strong, just as the Dirt Digger Plow and Wrecking Ball toys are also going strong in my household.
I was sent the Fingerlings to review and give my honest professional mom findings. Did my girls and I agree on this one.
What are Fingerlings?
Fingerlings are brightly coloured palm-sized pets that curl around your finger and come to life when you play with them. They respond to sound, motion and touch with over 40 animations. The Fingerling rage is here and it is not going anywhere with continuous expansion of new Fingerlings and accessories.
Children's theatre is my absolute best and who doesn't love Dr Seuss? Don't answer, I just couldn't bare the thought of a world where people do not like Dr Seuss. Well, at least I don't have to think about that because Seussical Jr the musical is coming to the Joburg Peoples Theatre!
Seussical JR. The Musical
Seussical Jr the musical runs through the school holidays, with the final performance on Sunday, 28th April 2019. The best part about it is that the fun and entertainment is for young and old. Miss T was a few months old when we took her and Miss K to watch a show at the Peoples Theatre in the Johannesburg theatre complex. Seriously, all ages are welcomed, even babies.
It's brilliant. You don't need to stress out if the kids are not quiet as the interaction with the children and the actors is the right amount. I find it just the right volume and noise level too for Miss K who can get overwhelmed by too much noise. See ... everyone's a winner.
MARCH MOVIE MAGIC
If you are wandering what's on at the movies this month, here are the March movie releases from Ster Kinekor. It's a really awesome line-up to choose from. From MADEA to MUMBAI and MARVEL, everything is awesome, especially with a Dumbo Giveaway with Ster-Kinekor.
A fresh crop of new movie releases hit the Ster-Kinekor silver screen this March. From action, adventure, thrillers, comedy and drama to imaginative children's fare (for the young and the young at heart), there's a film for every fan. And, for a larger than life, immersive experience, several releases will show across 3D and IMAX, as well as D-BOX theatres – where the phrase "motion picture" takes on a whole new meaning, as movement adds a physical dimension to your film.
