Fingerling toy review

I was sent the Fingerlings to review and give my honest professional mom findings. Did my girls and I agree on this one.

What are Fingerlings?

Fingerlings are brightly coloured palm-sized pets that curl around your finger and come to life when you play with them. They respond to sound, motion and touch with over 40 animations. The Fingerling rage is here and it is not going anywhere with continuous expansion of new Fingerlings and accessories.

Untamed Dino Fingerling – The Velociraptor

These finger-gripping creatures are fierce and unpredictable, and know friends vs. foes. In untamed mode, they roar, hiss and chomp! In tame mode they nuzzle, purr and love to be near you. Complete with snapping jaws and gripping claws, these interactive dinos react to touch, motion, and sound with over 40 different sounds and animations.

I love dinosaurs so was totally chuffed with that this was chosen for us even though I have two girls.

Fingerlings Baby Panda

The Brief: Baby Panda are adorable baby pandas that are curious about the world around them – starting with you! These interactive pets love to hang onto your finger, blink their eyes, turn their heads, blow kisses, and talk in panda babble! They come in a variety of colours. Clap your hands twice and your pandas will sing together.

Have you seen the Fingerlings?

Would I give a Fingerling Toy as a gift to a child?

I have gifted one before to my niece, purely based on top toy lists in the US. How many times as adults are we left with choices of toys and wanting to impress on behalf of our children when it comes to gifting?

Below is our first official toy review.

My girls loved them. The fingerlings have kept them entertained.

When the girls did the un-boxing, I initially thought they were just so darn cute. However, after a while I did find the noise got a bit too much when they were playing right next to me.

I have also since learned that these fingerlings have modes that they can be set to. “Untamed” being my girls favourite mode for the toy and in fact it seems untamed in life.

Do I like the Fingerlings?

Yes, I would buy them as a gift because kids really love them. They make for a great gift.

Please note this toy is definitely for kids over the age of 5 years old. My youngest tired sooner of the toy than my oldest. However, the youngest goes back to playing with her Fingerling a lot more.

Do I understand the joy these Fingerlings bring?

Not exactly but it isn’t about me it is about the kids after all.

Mom base:

Some moms are the sit on the floor play imagination games. I am not that mom.

I am the mom that will bake with my kids. Craft with other kids as my children don’t listen to me. Play with puzzles. I’m also the mom that loves to read to her children one day and not want to read the next day.

Boom Blast Stix – this game is simple yet dynamic and will entertain the whole family, from the little ones aged six and up to the adults. Players take turns to lock a stix and then add it to the pile on the lid, until one of the stix spring open and “explode” the other stix in the pile. The winner is the player who “booms: with the most stix. This game just makes me so happy.
